FOR MORE INFORMATION
If you would like to know more about your
companies energy consumption from 2013
please do not hesitate to ask Brittany.
As a LEED Platinum certified building,
we strive to be environmentally
sensitive in all aspects of building
operations and maintenance.
Starting in 2014, as a fully occupied
building, we will be having a building
wide Energy Consumption
Competition!
HOW IT WORKS
To encourage energy conservation
and green initiatives, we will be
rewarding the tenant with the least
amount of electrical consumption.
Throughout the year of 2014 we will
be measuring each office’s usage
based on a cost per square foot
basis; everyone will be competing on
an equal playing field!
At the end of the year the company
with the lowest annual consumption
cost will be given up to $1,000 in gift
cards to local Ambler establishments.
Every employee in the winning office
will get a gift card to a local
restaurant, shop, or spa!
TIPS FOR CONSERVING ENERGY
Property Management monitors
the thermostats for every suite
to conserve energy as the
building operates under an
automatic EMS.
Property Management also
supplies all of the replacement
light bulbs for your space. We
use energy efficient light bulbs
throughout the building.
Anyone with a desk lamp should
be using Compact Fluorescent
Light Bulbs.
If you would like to reevaluate
your light panel schedule please
discuss with Brittany. (Most
spaces have the ability to turn
lights back on after the panel
shuts down).
Eliminate the use of SCREEN
SAVERS. The use of a screen
saver requires full power from
your computer. Turn your
monitor off or use sleep mode
whenever you step away from
your desk.
POWERDOWN computers,
copiers, & printers every night
and over the weekends.
Limit the use of personal
electronics and unplug all
adapters and chargers when not
in use.
Consider Energy Star products
when purchasing new equipment
of appliances.
Energy Consumption Competition:
We will be offering an
incentive
for
employees who chose alternative
transportation methods next year. More
information will be provided in the 1
st
Quarter Newsletter for 2014!
